Why I'm Running

Food cost are up 30%-47%, we are tracking to have the highest gas tax in the nation, and inflation is outpacing wages.  I’ll use my experience in business development to ensure there is accountability & transparency of current expenditures to stop funding the waste and help you keep more of your money. 

My experience as a medic taught me that we need to support first responders who put their lives at risk to keep our families and communities safe. We need to punish criminals, not law abiding citizens. I will continue to support hard-working, conscientious, law enforcement with accountability measures that instill trust in our justice system. 

The mental health and well being of our most vulnerable populations is at all-time low and the homeless population continues to grow.  As a healthcare professional, I know that we must address the core of these issues to offer real solutions managed with fiscal accountability and measurable outcomes. 

In 2020, Washington State provided over $1 billion in charity care and emergency rooms were overcrowded. As a former ER medic, I have seen the failures of our current system and know we need options that prevent emergency departments serving as a catch all. From preventative measures to retirement, we all deserve better. 

As the daughter of a veteran and veteran myself,  I will advocate for our military and their families'  unique needs during and after service.  The voting rights of our servicemembers is at risk and I will work to ensure those serving our country receive their ballots and exercise their right to vote.

Citizens should not have to suffer for the knee jerk reactions coming out of Olympia. Constant overreach from our state government without the say of the people and their representatives is unacceptable. I'll support a specification of Emergency Powers so that you are empowered.
